Yoga = Union
The word yoga derives from the Sanskrit word “yuj” meaning “to yoke” or “to unite”. The practice of yoga will help you to connect with your soul, your consciousness and that of the Universe around you, leading to a more harmonious and connected life.
At Soul of the Earth, you can experience this process of union through different yoga practices to suit you. You can choose between Kundalini Yoga, Yin Yoga and Yoga Nidra, depending on what you feel called to engaged with, or you can try all of them.
Yoga is truly for everyone. It doesn’t matter whether you have practised before, how flexible or inflexible you are, what your body shape is or what your level of ability is. We are all unique and each of us is perfect just as we are. All you need to practise yoga is to be open to experience the beauty of connecting to your soul.

Kundalini Yoga

Known as the yoga of awareness, Kundalini yoga helps you to awaken the Kundalini Energy through movement, breathwork and mantra. It is a powerful practice that awakens your awareness, connecting you more deeply with your soul, your Higher Self and the Universe, your purpose in this life, taking you on a deeply transformative and healing journey.

Each class is structured so that you can experience the joy of this practice, let go of your mental and physical load and emerge feeling lighter and brighter. Everyone is welcome, whether you are an absolute beginner or an experienced yogi. It is a deeply personal practice, and you will work at your own pace, focusing within yourself so you can be fully present and reap the full benefit of the experience.

Weekly Classes Timetable:

  • Monday evenings 7:30-8:45pm at Cardiff Pilates Studio, in Canton, Cardiff (in person and online)£12/class or 6 class pass for £60
  • Early Morning Club, Mon-Fri 8:00-8:45am (online only)
    £5/class or you can pay a monthly subscription between £35 and £55 depending on what you can afford. This membership will also give you access to the Monday evening class (online or in person) if you wish to experience a longer practice.

Yin Yoga

Yin Yoga is a passive style of yoga steeped in Yogic Tradition, Taoism and Traditional Chinese Medicine.

On a physical level Yin Yoga focuses on the deep muscle tissue and fascia, ligaments and bones, strengthening the physical body. Simple postures are held for longer times to stretch and compress different body parts, working on the meridian system. During this process the mind is challenged into surrendering, allowing you to be fully present in that moment, releasing stress and tension as you melt into the postures, leaving you relaxed and restored.

Yoga Nidra

Also known as Yogic Sleep, Yoga Nidra is a very simple and powerful form of deeply relaxing guided meditation that has been used for millennia to heal and restore the mind, body and soul. It produces a state between wakefulness and sleep during which the body and mind can rest and restore.

Yoga Nidra has no known contraindications and is suitable for anyone and everyone, the only requirement is that you can set aside time not to be disturbed, are warm, safe, comfortable and AWAKE so you can listen to the guiding voice

  • Monthly Yoga Nidra Sessions are held on the 4th Sunday of the Month, 9:30-11am at Cardiff Pilates Studio

What to expect

Mats and comfort props are provided, Please ensure you wear comfy clothes in layers and bring an extra blanket for warmth and comfort as the body cools down significantly during the practice.
