Yoga Nidra

Also known as Yogic Sleep, Yoga Nidra is a very simple and powerful form of deeply relaxing guided meditation that has been used for millennia to heal and restore the mind, body and soul. It produces a state between wakefulness and sleep during which the body and mind can rest and restore. 

Yoga Nidra works directly on the autonomic nervous system, gently allowing you to release trauma and stress.

The practice of yoga nidra aims to induce a state of deep relaxation and conscious awareness, allowing the recipient to release physical, emotional, and mental tension. This meditative state is similar to the hypnagogic state, the transition between wakefulness and sleep, and it is said to bring about a sense of calm, clarity, and inner peace.

Yoga Nidra has no known contraindications and is suitable for anyone and everyone, the only requirement is that you can set aside time not to be disturbed, are warm, safe, comfortable and AWAKE so you can listen to the guiding voice

Yoga Nidra 

Monthly 90 minutes session on the 4th Sunday of each month 9;30-11am at Cardiff Pilates Studio.

Classes to be booked and paid for 24 hours in advance to secure your place.

What to expect

Mats and comfort props are provided, Please ensure you wear comfy clothes in layers and bring an extra blanket for warmth and comfort as the body cools down significantly during the practice.
